Using our school relationships we are able to offer you work within the classroom helping local schools with their cover requirements. You may be training to be a teacher or looking for a job that works well around school hours. If so, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.
Pearson Whiffin Education is working with several schools in the Medway area to provide daily support with any cover requirements on a day-to-day basis. The successful applicant will need to have experience in group leadership either on their own or as part of a team. As the position is temporary, you will not be expected to carry out planning and preparation. You will be required to manage behaviour in the classroom and ensure the students are kept on task, using a lesson plan provided by the regular teacher.
At the end of your working day you will be required to highlight any issues or successes to a designated person within the school so that this can be followed up.
In order to apply for this role you must have the following:
* Experience of group management within the last 2 years
* Experience working with 11 to 16 year old's
* A valid DBS
* Able to commute to the Medway area at short notice
* Good, strong behaviour management skills
* Referee details for us to contact within the last 2 years
