Warehouse Operations Manager

A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operations Manager based in Dartford to join one of our successful clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast pace environment.

You will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the day to day management of the Warehouse and ensure the smooth running of the department.

The Role
*To ensure that the Safety, Health, and Environmental procedures are followed by all team members, contractors and visitors
*Responsible for warehouse P&L performance and production of the department budgeting process
*Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives
*Planning and management of staffing, to ensure the optimum level of staffing is being used within the budget
*The management of relevant KPIs, changing priorities where necessary and be proactive in looking for continuous improvements
*To ensure company policies are adhered to and administration functions completed within deadlines and maintain accurate records in line with customer/company requirements
*To promote harmonious and effective working relationships both internally and externally, ensuring excellent customer service through a combination of communication teamwork, motivation, and leadership

The Ideal Candidate
*Customer-focused
*Staff motivator with the ability to coach and train members of the team
*Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse/logistics environment
*Ability to communicate at all levels
*Self-motivated
*Numerate and literate
*Proactive decision-maker and an organised/effective planner
*Ability to effectively handle conflict situations
*PC and WMS systems literate
*Own transport required owing to the location
