Hrgo are seeking permanent and temporary Customs Clearance Operator for our successful client in Dover. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential for this role and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. Knowledge of customs procedures and principles is preferred but not essential and willingness to take ownership for resolution of enquiries.
Duties include:

Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
*
Processing Import/Export declarations
*
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas relating to Customs Procedures i.e Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements
*
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Hours are full time and shifts will be varied. This is initially a temporary position and will be dependent upon the unknown Brexit situation.
