An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to work for a reputable care establishment based in Ashford. The successful Registered Manager will be responsible for the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and Support Workers.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:

- Take overall responsibility for the general management functions of the home all staff, delegating effectively and appropriately.
- Manage and monitor labour costs, staffing structures and rota’s, ensuring they meet requirements of the children’s needs and are in line with allocated budgets.
- Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to policies, of the home, and those set out in Children's Legislation and Regulations.
- Take a lead in ensuring meetings and reviews of children and staff are delivered within required time scales.
- Ensure effective delivery of individual care plans.
- Complete necessary administration of financial, payroll and staffing related matters within the prescribed time scales.
- Meet the requirements to achieve Registered Manager status with Ofsted.
- To participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of staff.

To be the successful Registered Manager you must have:

- Diploma 5 leadership and management, NVQ 4 in children and young people, CMS, DMS equivalent or working towards.
- Experience for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
- Considerable evidence of working with children in a residential setting and achieving outcomes
- Evidence of management at a senior level within a residential setting.
- Ability to successfully complete an SC2 application and pass the Ofsted Fit Person Interview process.
