Complaints Officer
Barker Munro Recruitment specialises in the recruitment of Insurance staff across Kent and the South East. As experts in our field, we are currently working with an award winning company that features in the Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for. They are looking to add a Complaints officer to their customer centric team.
As a complaints officer, you will be tasked with thorough investigation of all complaints in accordance with FCA regulation and company policy and procedures, ensuring a fair outcome in all cases which is clearly communicated to the customer. The complaints officer will resolve customers' queries within agreed authority, investigating the cause of any complaints, gathering information from relevant departments and clients and reviewing all relevant documentation. As part of the process, you will be comfortable acknowledging complaints promptly and responding to them within set time limits, systematically and fairly and escalating high profile complaints to senior management. As the Complaints officer, you will investigate the complaint and respond to and resolve complaints whilst liaising with the FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service) when required.
To be considered for the role, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to handle complaints or insurance claims whilst delivering excellent customer service and working in a fair and comfortable regulated environment. The ability to communicate is essential, particularly under pressure and remaining calm whilst talking to the customer over the phone. Knowledge of working within complaints within a FCA regulated environment would be highly beneficial as would be claims exposure – both will be considered
