Summary:
To work within a team of Management Accountants and assisting with the production of Management Accounts and reconciling balance sheets on a monthly basis for several companies within the Group.
Responsibilities:
Assist the selected businesses with the preparation of yearly and 6 monthly budgets and forecasting
Maintain Asset Registers
Produce VAT returns, monthly PAYE payments and annual P11d's
Review of payroll reports for error/discrepancies and liaising with payroll clerks and branch staff
Analysis of profit and loss accounts
Review sales ledger balances at month end with credit control for potential bad debts
Liaising with purchase ledger to review discrepancies and resolve queries
Assist with the production of year end audit files
Extensive monthly liaison with MDs
Balance sheet reconciliations
Accruals and prepayments
Personal requirements:
Studying towards AAT or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified Accountant or equivalent with strong academic grades
Advanced Excel skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Reasonably flexible with working hours to ensure deadlines are met
Good team player with good written and verbal communication skills
Minimum of 12 month experience in Practice looking to transition into industry or capable of demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting processes
