We are looking for classroom brickwork technicians/labourers for our client based in Maidstone.
Permanent work Monday to Thursday 8.30-5.00pm with early finish on Friday at 4.30pm.
Off during school holidays.
Salary: £17.288 to £20.148 per annum.
Job description:
* Deal with materials, tools and equipment for Building Services workshop sessions including maintaining stock levels, ordering, unloading of delivered materials, preparation for sessions, issuing to students and monitoring its use, in compliance with H&S and COSHH regulations
* Exercise good and safe workshop practise in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and legislation and to maintain a safe, clean and tidy learning environment. This will include providing any necessary first aid as required.
* Meet regularly with teaching staff, Instructors, Assessors and Internal Verifier where appropriate to provide assistance with the standardisation of assessment decisions.
* Monitor and register the attendance of students in workshops.
* Assist teaching staff and Instructors with the supervision, training and assessment of students, including monitoring, recording and reporting students' progress as required on or off site.
* Assist the candidates to compile course portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the awarding organisation
* Assist with the delivery of apprentice training programmes, as required, both in the work place and in College as required by the Head of Department.
