Position: Interim Management Accountant

Our client is an independent school based in the historic city of Canterbury.

They urgently require a Management Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis. A permanent role is available, and the Interim Management Accountant would be considered for this should they be interested.

This position is full time and you will work 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday.

Ideally you will be ACCA or CIMA qualified, we will consider candidates who are close to qualifying.

You will manage a team of three, Management experience would be an advantage, but this isn`t essential.

Experience of working in an education setting is preferred, but again strong candidates from outside the sector will be considered.

Your principal responsibilities will be for the day to day financial accounting and supervision of cash transactions of the school.

Ensure that all payroll payments and records, pensions, Income Tax, National Insurance, VAT records and returns, and other administrative services, are conducted efficiently.

Production of monthly management and termly accounts, in conjunction with
Assistant Accountant.

Interviews will likely take place week commencing Monday 23rd September, with an immediate start. Salary will be up to £40,000 per annum.
