Our client is a market leading business renowned for delivering high quality, innovative IT reporting solutions and consultancy to their clients within the UK and mainland Europe. Due to continued expansion they are now seeking to employ a Data / Test Analyst to further strengthen their existing team. The successful candidate will be used to working in small teams, able to multi-task, be a self-starter. As a Data / Test Analyst they will have extensive experience in data analysis and testing. We are looking for someone who is extremely analytical and has a strong attention to detail. They need to love to work with data and be committed to this career path.
Position Summary:
As a Data / Test Analyst you will be expected to be highly proficient in producing findings from large data sets, manipulating data and testing. Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting. Interpreting data and turning this into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Gathering information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends.
Responsibilities of the Data / Test Analyst:
 Interpret data, analyse results using industry standard methodologies and provide output reports
 Working with Development and Client Facing resources
 Utilise data sets, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality to meet client requirements
 Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources where necessary
 Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
 Test in multiple environments including web and mobile
 Adhere to agreed delivery timescales
 Present / document findings to software development and business user teams
 Monitor and audit data quality
Requirements:
 Highly analytical with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information
 High attention to detail and accuracy
 Demonstrable working experience as a data / test analyst comprising:
• Unit Testing
• Integration Testing
• Functionality Testing
• System Testing
• Performance Testing
 Working knowledge and understanding of data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
 Documentation of analysis in agreed formats
 Strong knowledge and experience with data analysing, visualization and reporting packages.
 Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
 Experience in the Automotive sector is desirable, but not essential
