As part of a company expansion, we are investing to increase our impact in the ‘EdTech’ space. The current IT Systems Manager has been promoted to the Senior Developer role as part of our investment strategy and we are looking for a new person to take on this exciting role.

You will be a confident, organised, IT and customer-focused individual with proven organisational and IT skills along with a natural flair for attention to detail.
As the IT Systems Manager you will manage two IT support assistants who support our clients, education professionals, by email and phone when they experience IT issues and our staff in our offices with our various IT systems, and will be managed by the Head of Operations. You will also work closely with the Head of Development, Senior Developer and department heads.
Our largest office is in Canterbury. We also have an office in Greenwich and a smaller office in Staines. The role is based in Canterbury with the two IT support technicians and the Head of Operations.
As part of a friendly, supportive team, the successful applicant’s key tasks and responsibilities include:
● To manage the company IT Systems and network infrastructure to ensure a reliable and efficient service for all users and departments
● To manage the IT support technicians within the IT team, including appraisals and monitoring of progress through clear target setting
● To maintain clear communication on all projects and tasks
● Advise stakeholders objectively on where IT might make a difference to the business
● Agreeing project costs, timescales and standards to be met and monitoring these through a project lifecycle
● To ensure all enquiries to the IT team are responded to competently and in a time efficient manner
● To ensure support for all Real Group departments to maintain websites appropriately, both in terms of presentation and coding
● Monitor and maintain all business systems and servers
● To facilitate data entry into IT systems being accurate and up to date.
● Prepare, manage and present annual IT budgets to company directors
● Monitor, review and report on IT team capacity

You need to be able to demonstrate:
● Excellent organisational skills
● Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
● Accomplished project management utilising Agile/Scrum methodologies
● Proven track record of managing multiple company IT systems across various geographical locations
● Strong leadership skills – both management of people and projects
● Exemplary communications skills – written and verbal
● Good evaluation skills
● Budgeting skills

Other skills and qualifications which are desirable but not essential:

● CompTIA Cloud+ certification or equivalent
● CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent
● Knowledge of administering CRM systems
● A project management qualification (eg PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum)
● Experience in managing and administering G Suite
● Understanding of multiple programming languages
● Understanding of e-commerce platforms

Salary: £35-£40k (pro rata if part-time). Your package will include a company pension, discretionary bonus, Simplyhealth.
