About the Opportunity:
As part of the centralisation of the group finance function a new position of Accounts Assistant has been created, reporting to the Finance Systems and Processes Manager. The role will be responsible for assisting across the finance team in a range of tasks including sales ledger, purchase ledger, treasury and general administration.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting with Client Billing on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Dealing with Client queries including copy invoices, statements, POD’s, investigating and liaising with clients to achieve resolution
• Claims registrations – processing claims according to set parameters and rules and escalating to colleagues where appropriate
• Entering customer receipts onto the bank. Communicating with the Credit Controller on late, unpaid invoices
About You:
You will be either currently studying your AAT, have completed an Accountancy ‘A’ level qualification or have prior experience gained within a finance department or finance related role. Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, and you must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
You should demonstrate a positive and flexible attitude, be a great team player and be able to operate in a fast paced, environment. Additionally, you will be:
• Passionate about developing your skills and your career in Finance
• A confident and clear communicator
• Fluent in German (desirable not essential)
