An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Direct Marketing Executive to join our team.
You will use your extensive knowledge of digital and traditional marketing to drive compelling integrated multi-channel communications, supporting new customer acquisition and member retention across several mutual brands. You will be confident in developing clear direct marketing plans and managing multiple, concurrent campaigns from concept to delivery – working to deadlines, monitoring and evaluating results and ensuring agreed KPIs are met.

Working collaboratively across the organisation on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders, you will be part of a high-performing, friendly and supportive Marketing team, where attention to detail and teamwork deliver winning results.

Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning and implementing direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including email, SMS, telephony, direct mail, newsletters, webinars, content marketing, social media, enquiry capture and follow up
• Maintaining and updating CRM systems, analysing data and implementing segmented campaigns to drive new business, cross-sales and renewals
• Creating compelling marketing copy and developing segmented messaging that enhances and personalises the customer journey
• Managing, monitoring and reporting on campaigns to ensure KPIs are met
• Building and developing effective customer relationships
• Liaising with digital and creative agencies, printers and fulfilment houses, and other external commercial partners
• Day-to-day management of third-party lead providers
• Leveraging new and existing data sources to carry out customer surveys and market research
• Working closely with stakeholders across multiple mutuals and functions
• Supporting the Marketing Manager in delivering agreed activities in line with the marketing and business plans

What we need from you:

• Of graduate calibre, you will ideally have a degree in marketing or a related discipline, or be qualified/working towards a professional marketing qualification i.e. CIM, IDM or equivalent
• Strong IT and numeracy skills
• A passion for data-driven marketing
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce campaign reporting that informs actions and conclusions
• Commercial awareness and business acumen
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong copywriting and proofreading skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to foster good working relationships both internally and externally
• Self-motivated team player who is driven to achieve
• Good organisational skills with a proven ability to work well under pressure
• Flexibility to attend external meetings and events when required
