Kitchen Porter

Location: UK-Kent-Tunbridge Wells

Salary: Minimum wage coupled with an excellent benefits package

Hours: 45 per week

Role Purpose

To assist and support the kitchen team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in accordance with the current Food Safety Policy.



Key Responsibilities:

* To contribute as instructed by the Head Chef and be responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen, kitchen/service equipment and associated areas to the agreed standards
* Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible and routine cleaning is completed to schedule
* Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
* Unload food and equipment deliveries.
* Keep the storerooms organised and manage stock rotation
* Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.
* Ensure refuse and recycling are stored correctly and ready for collection
* Help out in other areas when requested.
* Work to the agreed standard of hygiene practice as outlined in the Food Safety Policy.
* Such other duties that are allocated by the Head Chef, Duty Chef or F&B Manager.
* To adhere to Company processes with regard to Data Protection, Financial Crime and Treating Customers Fairly

* Previous experience as a kitchen porter in a similar establishment.
