Our client is a market-leading business renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative IT reporting solutions to their clients within the UK and mainland Europe. Due to continued expansion they are now seeking to employ a Senior .NET Developer to further strengthen their existing team.
The Senior .NET Developer will be an innovative and enthusiastic, self-motivated developer who will look for clever and efficient solutions to development problems, maintaining and developing products with both current and new clients. The successful candidate will be used to working in small teams, able to multi-task, be a self-starter able to cope with seeing a project through from inception to completion.
The company are transitioning their web development from VB.NET to new technologies, so it is important that you are able to work both with VB and more modern technologies. The technologies they are looking to transition to include ASP.NET MVC and Centric C#.
Position Summary:
As a Senior .NET developer, you will be expected to develop quality and functional web applications. You will have strong programming and database skills. You will be able to follow detailed briefs, user requests, produce functional specifications and provide attractive and capable web applications, as well as where necessary translate client briefs into detailed specifications for development. You will guarantee built in features for security, compatibility and integration online. When required you will assist in the architectural design of software developments and ensure that best practices are followed.
You will be working within a dynamic team and will be required to design web pages, sites and applications and to create quality and functional web applications. It is essential that you are able to work alone dealing with all aspects of the project and have a good experience of client liaison.

Knowledge & Skills:
It is expected that you will have a very good understanding of the .NET framework. Experience and training in producing functional specifications and liaising with clients is essential. Experience of the latest technologies is vital. You will have worked in an Agile framework and utilized project tracking/support software such as Jira. Ideally you will have worked on development of apps for mobile phones and tablets.
