Clark James are assisting this leading Commercial Insurance Broker close to the M20 Motorway in Kent with a new role in their Motor Trade team. They are not necessarily expecting the exact product knowledge, but you must have worked in account handling in Insurance recently either Motor or Commercial.
As the Motor Trade Account Handler, you will provide support to Motor Trade clients to ensure conversion of new business, service of existing account and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements by means of regular client visits.
Role and responsibilities
• You will be required to respond to enquiries from clients received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner. You will obtain quotations, using the quotation system, rating guides or by referring to insurers. These quotations will then need to be passed on either direct to the customer or to the Account Executive for further conveyance.
• Once quotations are accepted you will be required to issue written communication to the policyholder and insurer and issue the appropriate invoice to the customer.
• Once documents are received from the insurer you will need to check these to ensure accuracy.
To be successful in the role of Motor Trade Account Handler you should have experience of account handling within the insurance industry, ideally within Motor Trade but candidates with personal lines motor, commercial, business interruption, liabilities, fleet or material damage will also be considered.
