An exciting opportunity has a risen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a highly successful construction company based in Dartford.
This role is available due to an internal promotion and is therefor evaluable immediately.
Reporting into the Financial Director the key aspect of this role is to assist the, management team in preparing timely financial information to help maximise the cash returns to the group.
A background working within construction is ideal, along with knowledge of CIS payment s and returns being an essential requirement due to the nature of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receipt and recording of purchase invoices
* Preparation of proposed payment schedules
* Recording of payments to vendors and subcontractors
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Dealing with vendor queries
* Processing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments and returns.
* Chasing cardholders when necessary for receipts
* Obtain line manager authorisation
Person Specification:
* Excellent IT skills (MS Office, accounting software)
* Experience working within the construction industry
* Knowledge of the CIS procedure regarding returns and payments.
* High standard of numeracy and literacy
* Previously worked in a Finance Department
* Flexible, methodical and accurate approach to tasks
