Parkersteel are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Purchasing Team as a Purchasing Executive.
You will be responsible for the administration and implementation of the purchasing, negotiation and planning of assigned product categories. You will ensure that all products are meeting or exceeding planned performance and planning stock by look at past data and trends. The role will involve carrying out assessments of suppliers and identifying issues as well as negotiating best prices, rebates and early settlement discounts. A key part of the role will be managing contracts and projects as well as building long term relationships with suppliers.
What we are looking for?
You will have significant purchasing experience in an industrial/construction environment and experience of contractual terms and conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiating skills; results driven; the ability to work to demanding deadlines and computer literate. A relevant degree, MCIPS qualifications or equivalent would be an advantage, but not essential
