Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Carpenter will aim to improve and maintain all aspects of carpentry throughout the School’s properties to the highest possible standards. Primarily based and working from the Carpenters’ Workshop in central Canterbury, the post holder will also be expected to work around all School buildings and sites as necessary.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• To work under the direction of the Operations Manager to support day to day repairs and maintenance and the rolling maintenance programme.
• To work with the Premises Carpenters to maintain the daily job tickets, minor works, refurbishments and alterations.
• To assist with Carpentry requirements across the school including Junior King’s School, Recreation Centre and Malthouse site as necessary.
• To assist with the general maintenance programme ensuring the school is maintained to a high standard.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round
