Mental Health Resource is a registered charity working to improve mental wellbeing through the provision of safe spaces and person-centred mental health support in our community.

Reachout Youth is specifically tailored for young people aged 13-19 and provides a relaxed, fun and supportive environment for those experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. The sessions bring young people together and aim to reduce stigma, share stories, develop coping strategies and form friendships. The groups run on a Thursday 4 -6pm and another weekday early evening (to be confirmed).

We currently have two part-time roles we are recruiting for to deliver our Reachout Youth project, based in Tunbridge Wells and another local town.

Youth Support Worker for 13 hrs per week on a salary of £10.37 per hour. The 13 hours will be split over 2 separate sessions and incorporate some planning/administration time. You will be self-motivated and be able to work using your own initiative as you’ll be leading on the project.

Youth Sessional Worker for 4.5 hours per week on a salary of £9.64 per hour. The hours will enable support for 2 separate sessions per week only.

You will have experience, whether paid, voluntary or lived of working with young people. In addition, you will have excellent people and communication skills and the ability to facilitate groups. The ability and willingness to travel independently is essential, along with a commitment to ensure the continued success of the project.

Both posts are offered on a term-time basis and include evening work after school.
