Position Expectations
Our client requires an IT professional to support with network/infrastructure, helpdesk support, hardware maintenance, ERP systems, IBM Cognos data warehousing/finance, IBM Notes/Xpages, and Connections. The role requires working closely with the entire IT team and end users within the business, as well as external suppliers, to ensure that business software supports and contributes to business goals.


Key responsibilities and tasks
• Provide programming, design, analysis, training and project management services for the development and maintenance of IT based systems, which include Web based applications in other technologies and IBM Domino and Xpages applications.
• Responsible for the maintenance of systems including diagnosis and resolution of technical problems
• Review current systems and present ideas for system improvements
• Work closely with other departments and other IT team members
• Manage development projects through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Produce relevant documentation at each stage of the life cycle and prepare training manuals for users
• Produce detailed specifications and write program code, testing programs before deployment


Key responsibilities and tasks
• A degree in a related subject or the equivalent demonstrable experience Working
• A comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of web application development using data from backend databases
• Expertise and ability to use current open source software (PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript, Linux etc.) is essential, with knowledge of IBM Domino and XPages an advantage
• Strong project management and planning skills
• Ability to build key relationships and effectively communicate at all levels
