We are currently looking to recruit labellers to work for our client situated on the eastern Docks. No previous experience required.

Full training will be given, and for the most reliable hard working staff, additional training on machinery will be given in the future which will lead to better pay.

Work involves working on a cargo vessel labelling pallets on to cradles to be offload. On occasions you will also be required to work within my client’s warehouse, loading and unloading lorries. Shifts will normally be 2 x 12 hour shifts over the weekend (including bank holidays), these shifts are likely to be between Friday and Monday but there is opportunity to gain more shifts for hard working and reliable candidates throughout the week. Work is usually booked with 48 hours’ notice, and all applicants must be wiling to work every weekend (including Friday and Monday) as this is my clients peak time of the week. Start times at the weekend are dependent on boat arrivals, so you must be willing to start at any time within a 24-hour period. As such, you can not rely on public transport to get there due to start and finish times.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be physically fit, and be prepared to work in a busy and high paced environment. Full all-weather PPE will be provided as well as tailored training for my clients working environment.

ALL staff are required to take a drug and alcohol screening test. There is a zero tolerance on any illegal drugs or excessive use of alcohol. The test will be carried out prior to you being offered work and you will be subject to random tests throughout the year. If any tests come back as a fail, work will stop immediately, and you will not be allowed to work at any site within the docks.

Pay Rates: –
£8.42 per hour.
We also pay an additional £1 ph for hours worked between 10pm and 6am, plus double time for bank holidays, and double time for hours worked longer than a 12-hour shift.
