We are a reputable glazing company based in Bromley offering bespoke glass and mirrors, currently recruiting for a glazing estimator within our growing team.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate that they have experience in an Order Processing or Estimating role within the glazing industry as well as a good knowledge and experience of using MS Office, Excel, and Word. A knowledge of KashFlow would also be advantageous.

The candidate should be self-motivated, organised and able to use their own initiative with the ability to work without supervision and must be fluent in English with a good telephone manner and communication skills. A full, clean driving licence is also required.

As an Estimator you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and evaluating cost estimates.

Additional duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Communicating with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects;
• Ensure timely completion of estimates;
• Understand scope of works to bid;
• Incorporate Sub-Contractor/Suppliers prices in tenders.

The successful Estimator will be well organised and self-motivated. In addition, the following key skills and experiences are essential:

• GCSE English and Maths, with excellent arithmetic abilities;
• Demonstrable experience in construction estimating;
• Detail orientated and driven;
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and architect’s plans and interpret their content and technical specification;
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements throughout the duration of the project, and conduct reviews to effect cost reduction.
• Strong understanding of the local construction Industry;
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel;
• Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines;
• Impeccable problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work as part of a team to a high standard and to meet deadlines;
• Good communication skills;
• Attention to detail.
• Highlighting areas of risk and issues, assumptions and dependencies when preparing quotes for approval;
• Following up on submitted quotations and dealing with any changes/re-quotes;
• Good knowledge and experience of using MS Office, Excel and Word, and the use of KashFlow Software would be advantageous;
• Respond to all phone calls, e-mails and other communications from clients and suppliers.

Estimator Position Overview:

• Review project specifications and drawings;
• Site visits and surveys;
• Measure take offs for materials and labour;
• Complete tenders within timeframes;
• Obtain subcontractor quotations;


Office hours: 7am to 4pm
