Imago is a long established, well respected and effective charity working across Kent, Medway and East Sussex to deliver a range of services to individuals, voluntary and community organisations, the public and private sector.
Our mission is to promote, develop and facilitate social action, support independence and empower communities. User and volunteer engagement, leadership and involvement in decision making are core principles.
We deliver a wide range of services in partnership with funders, public sector commissioners and private sector sponsors to children and young people, older people, carers, and volunteers.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for volunteering to join the Imago team. In this role you will recruit, train and manage volunteers for our services working with adult carers, older people and adults with complex needs in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale.
Our volunteer roles are varied and include providing one-to-one emotional and practical support in people’s homes or community settings, and facilitating group activities and events.
There are opportunities to plan recruitment campaigns and attend events, as well as managing volunteer applications, interviews and induction. It’s really important that volunteers have a great experience with Imago so you will ensure they receive training, supervision and feel supported in their role. You will also lead on recognising and celebrating individual and wider volunteer achievements.
Attention to detail is a key skill and you will maintain excellent records using our bespoke database; and carry out regular evaluation of the service, ensuring volunteers are at the heart of the process.
You can help others to make a difference
Underpinning our work is a commitment to excellence, evidencing impact and safeguarding vulnerable people.
Imago offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of salary, contributory pension, healthcare benefits and 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
Post is subject to references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check
Please either submit your CV with a short covering note outlining your CURRENT SALARY and or visit our website at www.imago.community for a full application.
