Working for a large established industrial agriculture and plant factory you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the QA Manager your main responsibilities will be to lead the quality improvement project within the production areas, ensuring everyone is working towards correct customer specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
• Manage team performance through visual management tools and techniques
• Lead daily progress meetings including issues and constraints to ensure adherence to the factory plan
• Ensure team are performing to quality standards, ensuring shift audits are carried out daily and necessary action taken
• Ensure team are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety standards
• Maintenance of equipment and tooling for your responsible area
• Promote, engage and actively participate in continuous improvement activities
• Create and provide a safe working environment. This includes housekeeping for your responsible area, equipment, and materials
• Promote an open and listening culture
• Carry out regular feedback sessions to manage individual and team performance
• Assist in preparation of site, staff and systems for audits and visits
The successful applicant will be expected to display the following skills and attributes:
• Proven experience of working in a fresh produce, quality related role
• Previous supervisory experience and management of a team
• A high level of attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a flexible approach
