The main objective of the role is to maintain and optimise production and quality of the plant by ensuring all customary electrical maintenance of machinery with due respect to cost whilst maintaining a safe environment.
To maximise the output of our manufacturing capability by completing scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with preventing plant breakdowns by completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), ensuring that downtime of the facility is kept to a minimum
• Assist with planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, minimising disruption to facility and maximising uptime and availability
• Electrical fault diagnosis and repair of all electrical equipment on site
• Developing and completing preventative maintenance programmes
• Continuous improvement activities to increase performance of existing equipment
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of manufacturing within a Quality Management System and its impact within an engineering department.
This challenging role requires a pro-active, solution based individual with good initiative and excellent commercial judgement. Results oriented with the ability to manage all aspects of fault identification through repair and monitoring of successes. Finally, they must possess an Engineering qualification or to have completed a fully time served apprenticeship.
This Electrical Maintenance Engineer position has the opportunity to increase overall earnings with Overtime at time and a half.
This vacancy is for a Double Day Shift: In return we offer a salary of £29,094 per annum, 25 days annual leave plus bank holiday, pension and health care. This is a conventional shift pattern, which hours of work are from 6 am to 2 pm, Mon to Thu and Fri 6 am to 12 pm. This shift will alternate to Mon - Thu, 2 pm to 10 pm and Fri, 12 pm to 6 pm.
