A Store Manager is required to aid in the opening and subsequent operational management of a new Coffee Shop and Deli that will be opening in Headcorn this summer.
The Deli will be offering it's customers locally produced and procured fresh food and drink - a chance for customers to browse and sample specialist items from across the South East. It'll also include a fully operational bakery, too.
Reporting into the MD of the parent firm - this will be an unrivalled opportunity to help develop the brand. The parent company have ambitions to open another three stores by the end of 2020. The post holder will have the opportunity to open subsequent operations in the future.
In order to be considered for the role - you will have:
* Demonstrable retail management within the food or drink industry;
* An evident passion for everything food and drink; you will be able to offer guidance, opinion, and insight on all stocked produce;
* Exemplary customer service - with the ability to build and sustain rapport with all patrons;
* Tangible personnel management experience (in time, the store will have 10-12 employees);
* Working knowledge and practice of all food and hygiene requirements;
* Strong commercial/financial acumen;
* Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
The post holder will be accountable for all commercial and operational management within the business; you will partner with all suppliers to host customer tasting events and help to develop the brand within the local community by reaching out to a variety of different sources.
The Deli will be formally opening in September 2019, but the owners of the business would like the candidate to start at the end of June/start of July. This will allow the incoming candidate to be part of the team that helps to recruit the incoming team, as well as having a positive influence on branding, store layout, and the message to the customer.
