SEN Learning Supervisor 25 Hours per week.
FIND A VOICE is a registered charity based in Ashford which supports children and adults with speech and communication difficulties. At our centre in Ashford, we teach adults with communication and or learning difficulties to study ICT, literacy, numeracy and ASDAN courses.
We are looking for someone with teaching experience that can compile and design fun and informative lesson plans. Duties include but are not limited to; teaching adults of various ages and abilities in English, numeracy, ICT and ASDAN courses in small groups or 1:1; to assess and moderate students work & to assist in building a portfolio for each student; to work within the organisations policies and procedures at all times, including safeguarding, internet safety and GDPR.
A kind, empathetic person with the ability to work unsupervised is paramount, as is the ability to manage challenging behaviour. The post holder must have a good working knowledge of standard computer software including Word and the internet and to supervise and advise the Learning Assistant where required.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Find a Voice is open to students all year round and is not subject to school term times.
