FIND A VOICE is a registered and successful charity based in Ashford which supports children and adults with speech and communication difficulties. At our centre in Ashford, we teach adults with communication and or learning difficulties to study ICT, literacy, numeracy and ASDAN courses. In addition we have a resource library of communication aids that we offer on loan, free of charge, to anyone in Kent that would benefit from such aids.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, confident individual to apply for funding grants to enable us to continue the important work we do. The post has no fixed or set hours but is flexible and payment would be based on an agreed monthly retainer fee and a scaled commission rate for successful grants awarded. The bid writer can work from home however space can be made available at our Ashford office if required.

Find a Voice has built an unsurpassed history over the last 20 years and although small in size has a big heart. However we do not receive any government aid but rely wholly on key sponsors and on successfully obtaining grants to cover our annual operating costs.

The effective sourcing of this much needed and important funding is a vital part of our income and as such we anticipate the post holder to successfully raise a minimum of £50k per annum. Therefore, the successful applicant would ideally have previous charitable fundraising or bid writing experience or come from a commercial background experienced in tendering processes.
