Trainee Machine operator

Looking for position in well established company, leading provider of automotive fluids, oils and chemicals for passenger cars throughout the UK, Europe and Asia
We are currently recruiting for motivated, driven candidates who want to learn new skills and gain new experiences to progress within their career.
This is a temporary to permanent position with contracts being offered on successful completion of a 12 week trial period.

The Role

• Operating specific to industry machines – you will need general knowledge and experience in running , setting up industrial machines and have technical skills , all specific training will be given on site
• Ensure all relevant administration procedures are followed and completed.
To provide support to all areas of production and packaging area
• Keep your area clean and tidy and communicate with various departments where necessary.

Duties will include but not be limited to
• monitoring machines,
• Running off production line
• Assisting with Machine Changeovers
• Basic Machine Setting
• Directing members of staff ensuring line is staffed corrected
• Responsible for quality control Completing of QA documentation
• General factory duties as required
• housekeeping and other general production duties.

What you will need to succeed
• Educated to GCSE level (desirable)
• Familiar with Lean methods
• Good understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
• IT literacy
• Good level of communication, relationship and inter-personal skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve with the capability to work under pressure
• Previous machine operating experience
• Experience of machine setting
• Ability to lead and direct a small team

WORKING HOURS
Monday – Thursday - 7:30am – 4:30pm
Fridays 7:30am – 2:30pm

PAY - DOE - (starts from £7.70 p/h - 8.21 p/h )
***Really good overtime rates ***
Monday – Thursday – time and 1/3
Friday- Saturday -time and ½
Sunday - double time
