We are searching for additional Mobile Assistant Park Keeper on behalf of the local Council.

A driving licence is an absolute must for this position, as you will be required to drive a small Council vehicle in order to complete your planned route.

As immediate start is required and this seasonal role will run until the end of the summer season, so September/October time.

However, it is important to remember that if you do well in this position, our client would encourage you to apply not only for the 2020 season, but also other potential opportunities within the Grounds Maintenance team to hopefully see you over the winter months too, so lots of potential – for the right person!

No previous experience required. Your commitment and attitude more important, although you will be required to be physically fit, due to the nature of the work.
This could be ideal for an individual perhaps looking to top up their income

What does the job entail?

You will be required to patrol a number of parks in the immediate vicinity in small Council vehicle and on a pre- planned route, generally keeping a mindful eye on your route, reporting any issues you have noticed visually to your Manager.
Training will be provided.
Duties will also include a combination of:
General litter picking, inspecting, cleaning, re-stocking and locking up a small number of public toilet blocks later in the day and generally keeping an eye open on your route.
In addition, you will be required to empty litter bins, general sweeping duties, you may be required to check play equipment (visual only), raking sand/leaves, liaising with the public where required, ensuring facilities are used correctly.

Hours of Work
12 hour shifts - 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, 7.30am – 8.30pm
Breaks: 1 x 15 min and 2 x 30 minute
30 minute breaks (unpaid)
15 minute breaks (Paid)
Will include some weekends and bank holidays which will be paid at the normal rate

Rate of Pay:
£8.21per hour x 42 hours per week
All personal protective equipment will be provided.
