Leading Edge is a successful packaging printer based in Gravesend in Kent. Its customers are the UK retailers and large FMCG brands and their contract manufactures. With 80% of orders being exported into Europe, the company has seen strong sales growth in the last 2 years and has recently invested in new printing presses and have expanded their production site.

The Business Analyst/Costing role reports to the Finance Director. The role includes quarterly reconciliations on key accounts, data analysis, costing new business, bespoke pricing and ad hoc reporting both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate through their previous work experience good business acumen. They will have a logical and mathematical approach to dealing with new business challenges, capable of thinking on their feet and adapting their approach to fit the situation. The candidate will demonstrate good people skills, good at communication with all levels within the business and able to prepare professional and well worded presentations.

They will have qualifications that demonstrate their ability to handle complex tasks, being able to break down problems into manageable chunks and then re-build back up to obtain the final answer.

An accountancy background or a maths/business degree is essential for this role.

They will be used to dealing with large complex spreadsheets and able to manipulate large amounts of data while ensuring data integrity.
The knowledge of printing would be beneficial but not a necessary requirement. Experience in FMCG industries and understanding of packaging would also be beneficial.
