Your new company is an FMCG business based in North Kent. Looking to recruit a new Head of Supply for a fixed period of 18 months to cover a maternity leave of absence.

Your new role
Your new role will be part of the Operations Management Team to lead, coach and motivate the Planning Team to optimise inventory according to business objectives, working with suppliers to improve availability whilst managing key stakeholders and controlling the company's direct spend. You will ensure that Planning is fully engaged in support of New Product Introductions and Product End of Life (EOL), working closely with Procurement, Sales and Marketing. You will be responsible for authorising purchase orders for direct spend according to the Finance budget as well as develop the S & OP process for the Retail and Projects Teams. You will need to liaise with suppliers to improve stock availability and optimise inventory by overseeing the forecasting and replenishment by attending weekly demand planning meetings to then report on department KPIs. You will additionally report to key stakeholders, including members of the board on inventory value and availability and update the rest of the business on overstocks.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience of working as a leader within a planning / supply chain environment with a highly analytical approach to work. Exposure working with a forecasting and replenishment tool in an SME environment is essential to this role. Proven ability to adapt and embrace change in a dynamic working environment and successfully manage a multitude of high priority tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proven verbal, written, and presentation skills. The role would suit an autonomous self-starter. Experience in the bathroom/kitchen industry or FMCG would be an advantage.
