Salary £18,126, rising to £19,000 once training is completed


The Company
Duffields are a family owned animal feed manufacturing business operating near Canterbury, with three other sites throughout the country, making deliveries within the UK.

The Full Time Permanent Role
Duffields are looking for a Transport Co-Ordinator to operate within the Transport and Customer Service Team. The role is to schedule vehicles to deliver feed to customers on time as well as providing a prompt and friendly response to customers and the Sales Team to enquiries and orders.


Key Responsibilities

Transport Planning

• Schedule vehicles to achieve on time and in full deliveries to customers.
• Communicate transport matters to Production Team.
• Assist Transport Manager with daily duties


Customer Service

• Receive customer orders by telephone and e-mail and enter into computer system
• Liaise with customers as necessary


Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of transport planning / vehicle scheduling would be desirable but not essential
• Experience of working in a busy office
• Excellent verbal communication skills, motivated and enthusiastic
