Aqua Park Lifeguard/Duty Manager

Hours shifted between Monday - Sunday between 8am-9pm - 45 hours per week

Overview:

The location offers healthy, outdoor leisure and recreational activities for all ages and abilities including fishing, cycling and SUP/boating, along with a conference venue, restaurant and café on the shoreline.

Your role

As an Aqua Park Lifeguard & Support Duty Manager you will assist the Aqua Park Manager with the day to day operation, deputising in their absence, of this exciting new addition to our location in the South East of England. With a busy summer ahead of us we are looking for someone with a proven water based customer service experience to look after our valued clients ensuring we meet their expectations and deliver our promise.



Responsibilities

* As duty manager oversee the day to day operation of a busy Aqua park, guaranteeing guest satisfaction and lifeguard performance. Responsible for supervision of the Aqua park area.
* Ensure rotations are managed effectively recording accurately client numbers on and off the water.
* Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to and records are kept up to date in preparation for weekly audits.
* Oversee payment and ticketing process for Aqua park activities
* Contribute to the day to day operation of a busy Aqua Park, guaranteeing guest satisfaction and excelling in customer service and lifeguard performance. Operating within the Aqua Park area under the direction of the Aqua Park manager.
* Manage and deliver effective accurate recording of client numbers on and off the water.
* Maintenance and cleaning duties for all equipment and client facilities, undertake regular inspections of the areas of Aqua Park operation to ensure a safe and clean environment.
* Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to and records are kept up to date in preparation for weekly audits.
* Carry out reasonable duties as requested in other parts of the business particularly during the low season when Aqua Parks is non-operational.
* Register and verify client waivers for Aqua Park activities

* Experience of working within a similar service led or leisure operation

* Previous lifeguard experience is desirable, not essential as training is mandatory
* NVBLQ Beach Lifeguard Qualification training qualification - desirable.
* A current Open Water National Lifeguard Qualification or NVBLQ Beach Lifeguard Qualification - desirable
* Professional image and ability to relate to all customers.
* Good numeracy, written and oral communication skills
* Self-motivated, team player problem solver.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
* A good awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures
* The Aqua Park is operational seven days a week so flexibility with evening and weekend work during peak season.
