My client is a Maidstone based FMCG business, looking to recruit a Finance Manager to work alongside the Finance Director in this commercially key appointment. 

Working closely within senior figures across the business, this role will provide financial support to assist the site in achieving its key objectives. The key elements will include providing financial analysis and insight into the operational activities of the business whilst ensuring a robust control environment and balance sheet integrity. 

You`ll be charged with the production of detailed management accounts, providing insightful commentary, analysis and recommendations to the board, alongside ensuring that all statutory obligations are met. You`ll manage the ongoing budgets, providing periodical summaries on actuals vs forecasted results.  You`ll look to develop the KPI reporting schedule, ensuring that as much commercial information can be gathered from the results and put to good use across the business. You`ll report on cashflow, profitability per product and by customer to give an informed view on company position, with a real focus on cost management and control.  The role will partner closely with the operational side of the business within different internal teams to ensure that any factors that might affect financial performance are flagged early.  You`ll support the finance team to ensure
that all transactional tasks are completed accurately and within designated time frames, being a technical reference point for any of the teams queries. 

Applications are sought from ambitious, fully qualified accountants with experience of working within a highly product led business. You will able to demonstrate being an effective business partner, able to work equally well with finance and non-finance teams, displaying real commercial awareness and enjoy delivering a value added service. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis, not settling for the status quo and challenging ideas where appropriate. Good IT skills - in particular, working with excel - are a pre-requisite as its considered that getting more out of the current IT set up could well be the key to delivering more insight and operational efficiencies.  Due to the location and the occasional need to visit sites around Kent, a car and full license will be required.
