We are seeking a highly numerate, motivated and ambitious graduate to join the expanding team at our reputable and progressive accountancy practice based in North Kent.
Our ideal candidate will have an excellent academic background - ideally a First Class or 2.1 degree in a science based, maths or accountancy degree, or alternatively a First Class or 2.1 degree with an ability to demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical skills. In addition, you should demonstrate strong personal and analytical skills and an ability to work independently, in a team and under pressure when required.
Our package includes full financial support to study the ICAEW Chartered Accountancy examinations (ACA). You will enter into a three-year training contract with us and will have a broad range of experience dealing with the affairs of small and medium sized businesses throughout Kent.
Initially you will work in our Business Support team where you will:
• carry out book-keeping
• prepare management accounts
• prepare statutory accounts
• potentially work on audit assignments.
Friend & Grant Ltd are a local practice established 27 years ago. Our practice consists of 25 employees and 9 team members in training contracts with the ICAEW, ACCA, CTA or AAT. You will be surrounded by likeminded individuals who will be happy to support you in your studies!
We use the latest technology and are at the forefront of cloud accounting. We work at a fast pace, therefore you will learn to adapt to different challenges and be constantly developing your skills in an ever-expanding environment.
The key elements of the remuneration package are as follows:
Salary £18,000 with an annual review every 1st May.
Opportunity to join the company pension scheme (employer contributions of 3% of salary)
28 days holiday- (includes bank holidays) which increases over time to a maximum of 33 days.
All training costs will be met by the firm and will be largely on a block release basis, i.e. periods of time away from the office studying in a classroom.
