Senior Recreation Assistants (Full-time)
Kingsmead Leisure Centre, Canterbury

£7.81 or £8.21* per hour (£9.67 when undertaking Duty Manager duties)
equivalent to the full-time salary of £15,886/£16,699* (£19,672 per annum)

We are looking for responsible and reliable individuals who, in addition to normal lifeguarding duties of ensuring that our swimmers are safe and our customers are looked after, whilst also keeping the centre clean and preparing the activity areas for our busy programme, will assume the Duty Manager role for our facility when required.

Applications are invited from NPLQ qualified lifeguards (or those who have recently held the qualification), who can demonstrate the right attitude, experience of responsibility and a long-term commitment to this role.

Fully funded development to gain the Pool Plant Operators qualification will be available to the right candidates.

What you'll need:
• experience as a lifeguard and a proven capability for responsibility, particularly with regards to colleagues and customers
• an interest in working in the Leisure Sector
• a mature and hard-working attitude with the desire to learn and develop
• to be reliable, flexible and honest
• a professional yet friendly manner and a genuine interest in working with the public
• the ability to remain calm under pressure and within a busy environment
• a valid, or recently expired, Lifeguard qualification
• a Pool Plant Operator (PPO) certificate would be an advantage, but not essential

Week2: SAT OFF / SUN OFF / MON 06.45-15.00 / TUE 06.45-15.00 / WED 10.30-18.30 / THU 13.45-22.30 / FRI 13.30-20.30
Week3: SAT 07.45-18.00 / SUN 13.00-20.30 / MON 15.00-10.00 / TUE OFF / WED 15.00-22.00 / THU 14.30-22.30 / FRI 15.00-22.15
Week4: SAT OFF / SUN OFF / MON 07.00-15.00 / TUE 07.00-15.00 / WED 07.00-14.00 / THU OFF / FRI 15.00-22.15



*£8.21 rate of pay is the National Living Wage, which is paid to those aged 25 and over / £7.81 rate of pay is for NPLQ qualified employees aged under 25.
