If you are an experienced enforcement officer, qualified to Level 2 in Taking Control of Goods and hold a current County Court Enforcement Agent Certificate, you could be just what we are looking for.
Maidstone Borough Council, Swale Borough Council and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are implementing an in-house Debt Recovery Service for the collection of unpaid council tax, business rates and parking fines.
This is an exciting opportunity to join and help shape the service from the start. You will need to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed and deliver excellent customer services on the front line.
You will need to have experience of debt collection within a busy office environment, an ideally have a background in collections for Council Tax, Business Rates and Parking.
Whilst you will be working throughout the Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells area the team will be based at our Maidstone office; with a requirement for some evening and weekend working. You will need to hold a full driving license. A company vehicle will be provided for business use only
You must be a team player and demonstrate excellent communication skills.#
The Council considers this to be a customer focused roles and the ability to converse at ease with customers adapting communication style to suit differing audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English is fundamental to the role.
