Our client requires a Software Developer to take forward a number of software projects and to develop new applications.
For this role they are looking for a Software Developer keen on increasing their skills and full support will be provided to aid this. It may be that you are currently in a Support environment and are looking to move into a more dev-focused role. Or perhaps you have 2 to 3 years of Software Development experience and are now looking to join a company where you can become involved in some exciting development projects. Our client has always punched above its weight with software development, the Senior Management Team expects the team to be able to deliver software solutions very quickly and to the highest quality and security standards.
The Software Developer must be able to communicate with, understand and win the trust of the business, the executives and external partners. They must also have the flexibility to react to the changing needs and priorities of a very flexible business while working within the overall business strategies.

Key Responsibilities of the Software Developer
· Ensure a delivery-focused and flexible approach to projects/deliverables, maintaining a high level of accuracy in estimation whilst coping with fluctuating requirements
· Ensure Technology is able to support the business in maintaining its reputation for fast and flexible software delivery
· Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements and resource allocation to the SMT, team managers and end users
· Develop tender requirements for software and infrastructure upgrades, review submitted tenders for compliance with stated requirements and make or advise on the appropriate decision
· Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities and procurement efforts
· Establish and maintain regular face-to-face and written updates to the Management Team as required, team managers and end users regarding pertinent Technology activities
· Undertake other activities over and above those listed in the role profile, appropriate to your skills and experience
Any of the following skills are desirable for the role of Software Developer
· Data - Strong Microsoft TSQL skills required
· Programming - C#, MVC, Classic ASP, Javascript
· RPA desirable, but not required
· Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to adapt the approach to tasks and issues to get the best from a wide range of colleagues
· Excellent inter-personal skills, comfortable with develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, including the Executive
· Excellent, effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to question requirements, analyse problems, challenge assumptions and propose practical, innovative and creative solutions, either alone or in consultation with teams and other departments
· Knowledge of Agile Development framework
