Large, and independently owned firm of Chartered Accountants with a strong international flavour, based from their offices in the Dartford area, now has an exceptional new opportunity for an experienced and driven accounts and audit senior.

This firm service a broad range of clients ranging from sole traders through to group companies with a turnover in excess of £70 million. They are currently growing at an rate of 10% and look to continue this growth either organically or through acquisition.

Duties and Responsibilities:-

Manage a diverse portfolio of approx. 500 clients
Lead, manage, develop and coach a small team (plan, monitor and review their work, ensuring quality and compliance to professional standards)
Oversee and control completion of accounts and audit assignments including assessing processes and planning
Tailor audit programmes to suit client business environments
Manage client relationships and identify opportunities; thinking strategically by understanding each client’s needs, their business and key risks
Address situations before they become a crisis and develop solutions to avoid recurrence
Maintain a high technical and professional standard
Manage team and individual budgets and performance objectives
Identify ways to maximise the relationship and deliver added value

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:-

Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with proven external auditing experience
Experience of leading and managing accounts & audit teams
Demonstrate personal qualities and credibility to lead, develop and motivate individuals and the team as a whole
A thorough understanding of systems and risk based auditing
Ability to develop long term client relationships and deliver added value
Proven track record in business development, contributing to proposal delivery
