IT Analyst, Kent

Barker Munro recruitment are working with an innovative insurance company who are currently looking to add to their IT team with the recruitment of an IT Analyst.

The role of IT Analyst is required to work as part of systems testing and Business Information team within the IT department and will validate the integrity of newly created software and changes to existing software, during the system test and system integration test phases.

To be considered for the role of IT Analyst we need you to be able to demonstrate that you are a logical thinker, who is able to look at ideas from a new perspective, be analytical and has a desire to develop or take your first steps into an IT career.

The successful candidate will be involved in the initial triage and ongoing management of incoming issues from the business, assist with reviewing requirements and defining test conditions. You will need to be able to break business and system processes into easily testable units. Previous experience in a test environment is desirable and knowledge of SQL or C# would be advantageous. If you have the ISTQB certificate, that is equally highly advantageous.

This is a fantastic opening for someone looking to enter the IT industry and take on a relatively new role in IT. You will be able to demonstrate tangible thinking and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate with teams within the business. If you are able to demonstrate around 12 months exposure in a similar role, but also looking for a role that offers development and training within an IT function, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Another desirable factor, would be if you are able to show any working knowledge within IT for an insurance or financial services company.
