This modern, tech-savvy accounting firm is looking for a full-time, practice-experienced Bookkeeping Client Manager to join their fast-growing online accounting firm. This is a fully remote position where you'll be using video chat and cloud-based software on a day-to-day basis.


You'll be AAT qualified, familiar with online accounting software (Xero and Quickbooks knowledge required), experienced in payroll and pension management, a great communicator and able to juggle multiple accounts and tasks where no two days are the same. You'll also be assisting other Client Managers, Bookkeepers and Accountants with a wide variety of tasks.


Your schedule will be incredibly varied, supporting the team with everything from purchase ledger, VAT returns and payroll to management accounts, month-end journals and accounts preparation, ensuring all work produced is accurate, on schedule, and that clients feel valued and taken care of at all times. You'll also be managing your own portfolio of clients, so top-notch communication skills and attention to detail are imperative.

Key responsibilities:

Bookkeeping to final trial balance
Preparation and review of payroll, workplace pensions and CIS
Processing sales and purchase invoices on Xero/Quickbooks
Client management including onboarding, communication and retention
Running month-end journals
Bank reconciliations
Inter company reconciliations
Monthly reconciliation of key ledger accounts
VAT preparation, submission and registration/de-registration
Assisting in cashflow forecasting
Assisting in the preparation of management reports including bespoke reports and consolidated reports
Client communication
Ensuring all bookkeeping tasks are completed accurately and on schedule under minimal supervision
Reviewing bookkeeping at year end in preparation for statutory accounts
Assisting with statutory accounts preparation, reviewing draft accounts and preparing documents for clients
Adhering to proper accounting standards
Ability to identify and resolve issues or errors and quickly and efficiently
Attending and contributing to remote team meetings

Requirements:

AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years' senior bookkeeping or junior accounting experience working in practice on multiple client accounts
Excellent knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks
Impeccable attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
Exceptional written and spoken English
Client focussed
