An opportunity has arisen within the Operations East Production team based in Detling, Kent.
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of mechanical plant and equipment including pumps, valves, motors, dosing equipment and process monitoring equipment to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our production works and associated sites.
To succeed in this role you will have:-
National Water Hygiene Code accreditation (training will be provided)
A recognised craft/technical qualification in a relevant subject (C&G, ONC, HNC or equivalent)
Proven experience of maintaining mechanical plant equipment
A City and Guilds or equivalent in Water Treatment Process (would be beneficial though not essential)
A full UK driving licence.
Have a good knowledge of PC systems.
Be an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
Have strong communications, fault finding and problem solving skills.
Be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work.
Be physically fit and able to use breathing apparatus equipment and work in confined spaces (you will be required to undergo a medical).
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of Mechanical plant and water treatment related equipment including various types of pumps, motors, gas dosing equipment and chemical analysers to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our production works and associated sites.
Assisting other members of the Production team with CSE where 3 or more bodies are required to complete a job. BA training will be provided.
Supervise work of Contractors
Flexible and adaptable
Accurately complete all necessary administration associated with reactive and planned maintenance work.
Routine administration (e.g. timesheets, health and safety forms, vehicle record sheets etc.)
Monitor and maintain security of production site
Site manual updates and maintenance
Issue Permits to Work where required
Contribute to and assist with capital works as and when required
Ensure sites are in a clean and tidy condition upon completion of works
You will be required to take part in a standby roster providing out of hours support to the operational area.
