Established for over 20 years and with a total number of employees of circa 40 with 12 in the office, my client is now looking to add a sales person to the team due to growth. This is privately owned company.

This role will suit someone who enjoys sales and customer service, looking after accounts cross selling/ upselling as well as gaining new business. Being a team player is essential, as you will be working in a close knit team, who help each other with quotes and tenders to maximise sales.

The role is to work alongside the existing sales team, supporting them and creating your own customer base by identifying routes to market recognising my clients USP's related to service, production equipment, resources, capability and new business development.

The role entails helping field all sales enquiries coming into the office from existing customers, new customers responding to website enquiries and marketing campaigns or recommendations.

You will be given a chance to develop a proportion of these warm leads into customers. Taking over some existing fledgling customers and developing these further. Opening up new avenues of enquiry that can be converted into sales by identifying possible targets using market analysis and social media and calling these potential clients.

This role could suit someone with a year or two experience in sales who can expect on the job training who could quickly progress with a track record in the company of delivering results.

The sales executive should be enthusiastic, with excellent people skills, open to new ideas of others and capable of developing ideas of their own.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Make, receive & manage sales related calls/emails. Problem solve and fact-find to find an angle in which you can help the potential or existing customer
Prepare written quotations as agreed and issue within a short time-frame
Chase responses to quotations
Research market place for potential new business, by industry, by company and by service
Contact potential customers getting contact details & ascertaining potential requirements
Prepare summary of enquiries/quotes/orders/invoicing (Pipeline) when required to discuss with management
Assist others in the progression of customer orders if required
Support business with attendance at trade fairs as both a visitor and exhibitor (occasional overnight stay may be required)
Document & maintain customer profiles detailing contacts, works undertaken, spend, areas for growth etc
Monitor job budget vs actual costs to ensure optimization of profitability
Attend periodic sales meetings with key personnel to discuss enquiry levels, leads, completed projects and work in progress (WIP), and how we best focus their sales strategy
Support sales manager in all aspects of work when required
Demonstrate a 'cando’ attitude, be team spirited and eager to succeed
Skills:
Articulate, with excellent customer service and telephone skills - using a personable demeanor and can liaise with customers confidently and professionally
Excellent written communication skills, particularly for a sales audience, showing a keen eye for detail. This includes faultless spelling and grammar
High level of computer proficiency & working knowledge of MS-Office, Word and Excel.
Creative, innovative & willing to contribute ideas and a professional opinion
Be a team player but have the initiative to work using own initiative if required
Be organised, showing the ability to fact find and record meaningful and necessary information
