Working for a leading manufacturer in the fresh foods market, specialising in developing private label products for top global grocery retailers and well known international foodservice operators.
Role Purpose:
Based mainly in the outside waste area of the factory you will be responsible for maintaining good standards of tidiness and organisation of the area. This role involves a substantial amount of physical work.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring tray wash and processing waste areas are kept tidy and waste collected on a regular basis
• Keep general waste area tidy
• Ensure farmers trailer and compactor are emptied and replaced as and when required
• Occasional hygiene tasks in the amenities block including canteens, toilets and other facilities
• Operate in a safe manner ensuring all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Skills, know-how and experience required:
• Previous experience of working in a similar role preferred however training will be given
• Counterbalance licence desirable
• Strong team working abilities but also with the ability to work alone and on own initiative
• Ability to prioritise work loads
