Join an international outdoor business in a rural environment as Head of Market Development.
Nikwax is a leading international manufacturer of waterproofing products for clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment and leads the field in outstanding environmental credentials and sustainability. Most recently, Nikwax received the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development. We are looking for a Head of Market Development to join our busy commercial team.
The Role
Improve the breadth of Nikwax sales channels, the breadth of Nikwax brand awareness and the positioning of Nikwax products within markets by
• driving forward the Nikwax products and brand into markets that have significant undeveloped potential
• creating plans to implement expansion into new markets that are not yet approaching their potential
• identifying, evaluating and developing potential new business models and opportunities
• supporting new markets in terms of sales, marketing and administration in the early stages
• designing selling messages targeted to the appropriate buyers for specific markets to support the sales teams
• specifying marketing material required to enter new and developing markets
• evaluating and reporting on and proposing routes to combat threats posed by our competition in all markets.
The Person will be
• driven with strong leadership skills
• a self-starter with the ability to drive things through to a conclusion
• imaginative and numerate
• ethical, with good people and communication skills
• educated to degree level or equivalent
• experienced in developing markets, business modules and selling arguments.
