An exciting opportunity for approximately 3 months with our local Council, assisting with a project in the Development Management Team (Planning) providing key administrative and customer focussed support, due to an exceptionally heavy workload.

What does the role entail?
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with exceptional customer service skills and a calm, engaging telephone manner.
The role itself is critical in facilitating proactive messaging to colleagues relating to current planning caseloads and outstanding applications.
You will be answering the telephone, lots of internal liaison with your colleagues for updates and answers and then returning calls to individuals with updates to their planning enquiries.
You will be liaising with Town and Parish Councils and Agents as the first point of contact for any enquiries relating to existing planning applications and associated matters.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys multi-tasking who can hit the ground running, who doesn’t get flustered and who can offer a professional admin and customer support service to their colleagues within the team.

Hours of work and rate of pay:
This is a Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (8.30am – 5.00pm with an hour for lunch) although slightly reduced hours (ie. 30 hours per week), could potentially be made available, if preferred.
|The rate of pay is depending on experience but upwards of £10.00 per hour.
