A Production Manager is required to join a global manufacturing firm in Kent; a business that is currently enjoying unprecedented demand for their products.
Joining the business at a crucial juncture, the Production Manager will be accountable for the production facility in its entirety - a large scale plant with a number of skilled staff making up its staff population.
Working under the stewardship of a knowledgeable, and passionate General Manager, the post holder will be accountable for creating manufacturing strategy and turning this into action - setting and achieving goals in line with the manufacturing strategy. Through the development of solid communication channels with other key stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain), you'll be able to develop robust processes to ensure all production operations run to an optimum.
In time, you will develop a balanced supervisory team beneath you, individuals that possess the right technical skills and competencies who possess a drive to deliver great results.
The incoming candidate will be a skilled production or manufacturing operations professional with demonstrable managerial and leadership skills. Expert communication and engagement skills are therefore required - you will be able to lead, motivate, and develop an already skilled and dedicate workforce in order to meet production deadlines in order to meet customer demand.
Candidates with a passion for on-going professional development would hold a distinct advantage; you will more than likely already possess a Degree within an industrial discipline, or perhaps possess (or be working towards) a Masters level qualification.
A broad working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodologies is a requirement in order to drive process improvements across the site.
