Headlam PLC is the largest floorcovering distributor in Europe. We market, supply and distribute an extensive range of floorcovering products to independent flooring retailers and contractors throughout the UK and continental Europe.
The successful applicant will be given extensive training within our busy warehouse depot based in Strood. As we operate a next day delivery service, your responsibilities will include the loading of our delivery vehicles by means of manual handling or by the use of our electric forklifts* as well as maintaining the levels of productivity to ensure we meet our customer’s deadlines either by working on your own or within a team environment.
*Knowledge of driving a high reach forklift or a counterbalance would be desirable but not essential as we offer full in-house training on all equipment.
Due to the nature of our business, please be aware that the successful applicant will be required to undertake manual handling tasks that may involve some heavy lifting. With this in mind, all applicants must be of good health and of reasonable fitness, achieve a high work rate and be dedicated to developing a long-term career within our business.
Hours Sun-Thurs 22:00 to 07:00am, pension available after qualifying period.
