Cook/Catering Assistant for Pinewood Cafe
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve works in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation, a charity committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programs.
We require Cook/Catering assistants to work on a flexible basis, serving customers in our Pinewood Café. The cosy cafe, adjacent to the Gatehouse, offers the warmth of a wood burning fire on colder days and airy al fresco dining on finer days. This position would enable the applicant to gain vital experience in a busy hospitality environment and would be a great opportunity for anyone considering a career in the catering industry.
We are looking for literate and numerate, motivated individuals who understand the importance of excellent customer care and can deliver an excellent standard of service. Chef experience is not required however previous customer service and catering experience is essential, and on-going training will be provided. Applicants must be willing to work variable flexible hours in a fast-paced commercial environment as the restaurant operating hours are between 7.30am-10pm.
Shifts will be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. Salary in line with national living/minimum wage.
A reliable form of transport would be essential due to the remote location of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve and the start/finish times. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
